Automotive Technical Support Representative

Reporting to the Automotive Technical Department Manager, the Automotive Technical Support Representative is responsible for assisting warranty companies, internal technicians, and customers by addressing inspection report concerns via phone and email. This position involves using technical knowledge to identify issues using in-depth knowledge of diagnostic procedures and repair methods. This role requires working knowledge of technical manuals, service information bulletins, and additional resources.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic procedures, and repair methods.
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in using computers and software, including understanding fault codes and vehicle communication networks.
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same.
  • Exceptional work ethic.

Starting salary range:

  • $26.00-$28.00 per hour
