The Paying Agent Specialist is primarily responsible for the disbursement of payments to contractors.
Primary Duties include but are not limited to: (Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform essential functions.)
Review partial payment requests.
Communicate with service providers to ensure proper documents are submitted.
Communicate with the PAS Training Instructor so the training program can be changed to focus on frequently missed items.
Answer telephone calls from the PAS queues.
Respond to contractor inquiries concerning PAS processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
Minimum of AA/AS or equivalent education required.
2+ years of customer service experience that includes accounting/banking-related job duties in a professional office environment.
Highly attentive to detail and mindful of task completion.
Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities.
Problem solving skills, including financial reconciliation and issue/error resolution.
Must be able to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
Strong computer skills including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong communication skills including verbal and written communications.
Desire to participate in the creation and execution of processes and procedures.
