About the Role
We’re looking for a meticulous, simulation-savvy CAD Engineer to join our engineering team in shaping the
future of modular construction. You’ll lead the conversation of design concepts into high-performance CAD models
and run structural simulations to improve manufacturability and strength.
This is a high-detail, high-responsibility position for ideal engineers who think structurally, design elegantly, and
work proactively in a remote, asynchronous environment.

What You’ll Do
● Create 2D and 3D SolidWorks models of concrete structural blocks and production molds
● Translate preliminary concept drawings into simulation-ready CAD assemblies
● Run load-bearing and FEA simulations to identify structural risks and failure points
● Deliver full technical documentation packages, including BOMs, exploded views, and assembly instructions
● Align with the Product Development Manager through weekly L10s and daily async updates
● Maintain an organized CAD version system with checklists and milestone tracking
● Suggest process improvements to templates, workflows, or design systems over time
● Own key deliverables known as “Rocks” - your personal, measurable quarterly objectives

Measurables You’ll Be Evaluated On
● % of assigned design packages completed each week
● % of 3D models converted and ready for simulation
● % of design simulations run prior to prototype
● Deviation % between simulation results and real-world stress tests
● Revision rate from initial submission to stakeholder sign-off
● SLA compliance on documentation package delivery
● Blockers escalated within 24 hours in Slack or L10s
● Weekly progress reported with clear updates and visuals
● % of projects marked "on track" during rock reviews
● Checklist and version control adherence for all CAD files
● Quarterly Rocks Completion – $200 bonus per Rock!

Rock Bonus Program
We don’t believe in working hard without recognition. You’ll be eligible to earn a $200 bonus per quarter for each
Rock (key goal) completed on time and aligned with company priorities. You help us move the needle – we help you
grow your wallet.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
● 2-3 years of CAD engineering experience, ideally in structural or mechanical design
● Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (Inventor a plus)
● Proven experience running FEA and structural simulations for load-bearing parts

● Solid understanding of materials (especially concrete) and manufacturing methods
Strong organizational habits with CAD file versioning, checklists, and accuracy
