We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Implementation Consultant with practical experience in Australian payroll environments to join our team. This role is perfect for a payroll or finance professional—such as a Payroll Officer, Administrator, or Finance Officer—who is confident working with payroll systems and interpreting compliance requirements. As back-end focused consultant, you'll be responsible configuring payroll rules, testing system functionality, managing support tickets, and assisting project teams to help deliver accurate and compliant workforce solutions to our clients.
Configure and test payroll and workforce management systems aligned with Australian legislation and awards
Build complex business rules for time & attendance, leave, and pay conditions
Support consultants and project managers by managing support tickets and addressing configuration issues
Assist with project coordination, task tracking, and implementation documentation
Help maintain data integrity and accuracy across system setups
Conduct internal testing and validation of payroll functionality and workflows
Collaborate with the broader implementation team to support successful delivery of client projects
Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on experience in an Australian payroll environment (e.g., Payroll Officer, Payroll Admin, Finance Admin/Officer)
Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and industrial relations (IR) compliance
Comfortable working with payroll/HR systems and technology platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, Kronos, MicrOpay, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to manage back-end system configurations and workflows
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to payroll system setup
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Solid written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting
