The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
RTX, Enterprise Services Applications (ES-Applications) has an opening for an Associate Director – Applications Architecture Leader. This leader will manage a team of 5-6 senior DT Architects chartered with ensuring that ES-Applications' technical and business capabilities and products are aligned and integrated to our current and future enterprise technical capabilities, compliance, and mission. Together with the Director of Enterprise Applications Architecture and the Applications Architecture leadership team, this role will drive prioritization of strategic investment objectives and will be the technical leader accountable for identifying integrations with key technologies and operational standards to support existing and future consumer-based application needs. Responsibilities include leading trade studies for key technology selections, and leading tiger team response activities to critical Enterprise Applications design and architecture issues. The Associate Director will be expected to collaborate and define the key standards for delivering previously identified enablers, build and deliver executive level presentations and communications supporting these strategies, serve as a technical representative for Enterprise Applications Architecture across the company, and mentor technical employees for growth and development. In partnership with the Director of Enterprise Applications Architecture, this individual will contribute to the evolution of application development and sustainment capabilities and solutions through reusable reference models and integration standard across the ES-Applications organization.
What You Will Do:
Manages a group of highly technical Application Integrations Architects
Represents and advocates for the Enterprise Applications Architecture organization on the highest-level enterprise level technical committees, decision making boards, and technical planning teams
Serves as a senior technical leader and representative for Enterprise Applications across RTX
Partners with DT architecture and operations leaders to build and deliver technical strategies relevant to addressing both current and future applications team challenges
Collaborates and leads definition of key standards and reference architectures for ES- Applications
Involves working in a fast-paced team environment and close collaboration with other technical leaders and business partners
Partners with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to align Business, Functional, and Program application technical roadmaps
Responsible for responding quickly to major issues and engaging the necessary resources for resolution
Provides executive level summaries to senior ES, Business, and Program Leaders
Represents and advocates for the Enterprise Applications Architecture organization on the highest-level enterprise level technical committees, decision making boards, and technical planning teams
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management, or Information Technology or related experience and 12+ years of experience managing managers or certified architects
Significant experience in IT Operations and budget management
Keen understanding of business, compliance, and corporate IT frameworks and an ability to effectively interface and network with all levels of the org
Deep familiarity with cyber security controls, the infrastructure on which our applications run to include public and private cloud infrastructure, and with RTX data architecture standards
People Focused: Can articulate demonstration of humility, empathy, and a servant’s heart

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
