The Opportunity
The Account Specialist, Retail Sales is a remote base position supporting Abbott ARDx Consumer Services & Products business
As the Account Specialist, Retail Sales, you’ll have direct sales responsibility to maintain, gain and grow the women’s health private label brand (home pregnancy & ovulation tests) at several key strategic customers. As part of this responsibility, the Account Manager will be responsible for delivering strategic and tactical initiatives that are aligned with both business and customer priorities to achieve customer specific sales and share performance goals. This role will require ongoing identification of growth opportunities and strong collaboration with the customer and internal resources across marketing, finance, supply chain, and global business services. Candidate must possess a high level of comfort sharing strategic proposals with internal and external leadership teams. The candidate must have excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills.
What You’ll Work On
Achieve sales targets through efficient and effective sales cycle and territory management.
Maintain sales base while closing new business in both new and existing accounts.
Build relationships with key stakeholders within accounts. Conduct ongoing internal and external account business reviews to measure, evaluate and present sales performance.
Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies and tactical business plans.
Serve as the voice of the customer to internal leadership to help influence/ define strategies and short-term launch support plans.
Leads all customer interactions for respective accounts (new item launches, annual plans, commercial execution).
Accountable for item forecasts and lowering controllable costs (e.g. customer fines) for respective accounts.
Leading contract negotiations and managing cost and assortment discussions to optimize sales performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Typically requires 0-5 years of sales experience to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.
Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications.
Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships.
Display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
Analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software.

Ability and aptitude to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives.
Ability to present material to Executive-level management.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of sales acumen and category management.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong interpersonal / leadership skills.
Work with Nielsen and IRI data to analyze market trends to effectively develop presentations, provide recommendations and business forecasting.
Initiative to identify growth drivers and then secure resources to support execution.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

The base pay for this position is
$60,000.00 – $120,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
