Job description

The Breast Cancer National Sales Lead is responsible for breast cancer sales efforts for the United States. In this role, this individual will be responsible for shaping and executing selling strategies and delivering on sales expectations across a Pfizer’s breast cancer portfolio consisting of IBRANCE and TUKYSA as well as planning for future launches.

The role will report into the US Customer Engagement Platform Lead and will be required to work closely with other customer facing leadership roles (sales, account management and medical) across Pfizer. The incumbent will also work closely with Marketing Leadership to build strategies that ensure continued success.

Given the broad geographic responsibilities, multiple products, upcoming launches, and number of stakeholders, the role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and preferably a strong understanding of the Oncology marketplace

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the execution of selling strategies enabling the Nation to drive revenue and achieve sales targets

  • Active partnering with marketing leads teams to shape brand/customer strategies and initiatives to drive demand and meet customer needs

  • Design, rollout, and monitor dynamic evolution of sales representative incentive compensation structure in partnership with enterprise platforms

  • Provide analysis, insight and direction on priorities and quarterly goals to attain revenue targets

  • Ensure successful, compliant selling activities of in-line products

  • Ensure launch readiness for future products and indications across the breast cancer portfolio

  • Responsibility for staff development of direct and indirect reports 

  • Develop an agile organization to effectively and consistently deliver results in changing competitive, market and economic landscapes

  • Create a high performing organization through talent planning and career development

  • Recruit qualified talent and assist in development of high potential employees

  • Build a network of physicians and industry contacts to improve sales leads and successes

  • Proactively work with the Sales training team, ensuring all training programs are coordinated

  • Complies with all Corporate Policies and Procedures, while conducting all job-related activities with integrity and adherence to Pfizer's high standards of business conduct

Qualifications

  • 13+ years of pharmaceutical experience (including sales leadership) with an MBA or 15+ years of pharmaceutical experience with Bachelors degree.

  • Oncology marketplace experience required

  • Experience leading large multi-level organizations and Leader of Leaders experience required

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to execute flawlessly to deliver results

  • Demonstrated sales and sales management expertise

  • Launch experience with Oncology therapies and products; buy and bill experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate and monitor the execution of business plans

  • Collaborative & motivational leadership and internal stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Successful track record of leadership in cross functional teams

  • Understand people dynamics and interface; how to engage and motivate

  • Enterprise thinking; anticipates consequences

  • High-energy self-starter who has the initiative to function autonomously and the confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create and bring ambiguity into action

Additional Location Information: United States - Remote

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $256,100.00 to $426,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
