Job Description Summary

As a Network Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance across all facilities.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform IT projects across the organization, building new networks in facilities.
  • Assist with events, incident, request, and change management.
  • Implement, administer, and troubleshoot Aruba and VeloCloud SD-WAN, Palo Alto Firewall, Aruba Central.
  • Build and support Aruba switching and wireless networks.
  • Evaluate technical requirements for incidents and requests to determine infrastructure impact, including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements.
  • Assist the team with ITSM data gathering and presentation.
  • Analyze metrics to identify opportunities for performance improvements.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend software or hardware changes to address current or future problems.
  • Ensure all documentation is delivered according to specified guidelines.
  • Maintain DNS/DHCP records using InfoBlox.
  • Mentoring new starters to transfer the knowledge of Cencora Network

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum of 7+ years of field experience in network engineering.
  • Experienced with HLD and LLD diagrams,
  • Strong knowledge of SD-WAN (VeloCloud or Palo-Alto), Palo Alto Firewall, Aruba Central
  • Proficient in building and supporting multiple switching and routing technologies on Aruba and Cisco.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Wifi implementation and troubleshooting experience for large infrastructures like warehouses or multi-storey buildings on Cisco or Aruba networks (Aruba is preferred),
  • Minimum of 2 years of NAC experience on Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass (Aruba ClearPass is preferred),
  • Experience of Solarwinds and SNMP configurations,
  • Experienced with routing protocols and technology.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure.

Personal Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Flexible for out-of-working hours to support incidents or planned deployments,
  • Able to join on-call rota on the weekends as part of 12 engineers (once in every 12 weeks)
