Position Summary:
Collaborates with creative leaders to develop interesting and innovative ideas to develop layout options to ensure that they understand clients’ expectations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, plans, conducts and supervises assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Recommends changes in procedures. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision in key areas of focused expertise.
Collaborates with Client Manager on communications with client regarding project updates and deliverables
Acts as brand steward with respect to upholding client style guides as well as proactively works with clients to ensure our materials are reflective of their latest looks and feels
Consistently meets the needs of the client to ensure delivery of highest product quality
Delivers final product to the client, and when appropriate delivers final product in conjunction with Client Manager, signaling final project deliverable and ensuring proper saving and filing of all relevant project documents
Engages and retains team members by passionately communicating the value Cencora’s solutions bring and the critical role each team member contributes toward that end
Utilizes the most effective form of communication to foster an environment that is more open and collaborative
Communicates the importance of compliance with Cencora policies and leads by example
Schedules regular one-on-one meetings to review projects (milestones, budget, staffing…), performance (chain linking, chargeability, results…), people (teamwork, development, engagement…)
Demonstrates effective verbal, and written skills (i.e. designs and delivers high quality proposals) and coaches team members to do the same
Maintains a high level of mastery in their area of responsibility while growing their knowledge of Cencora services and solutions
Joins and actively participates in industry associations to develop and/or showcase their technical expertise
Applies knowledge, understanding and skill to projects that maintain or grow the expertise of the team leader and the team
Actively seeks opportunities to expand current expertise as well as develop new expertise in skill areas dictated by expanding/emerging business lines
Proactively grows the skills of each member on the team to ensure service offerings align with customer needs
Identifies key development opportunities in the organization, then matches the appropriate team member to address their development needs
Experience & Educational Requirements:
Requires completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program in graphic arts or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Normally requires a minimum of 7+ years of related graphic arts experience, preferably in a regulated industry. 7+ years supervisory experience.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of significant assignments. Crosses fields. Assignments necessitate advanced knowledge, sufficient to teach others
Production expertise and proficiency in professional graphics software for pre-press, print and digital publishing: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, After Effects, XD, Figma), and advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong working knowledge of Multimedia Technologies must be demonstrated and advancing these capabilities should be a constant professional goal
Seeks out, as consistent with ethical firewalls, fellow Content Developers to discuss similar project work and share best practices in an attempt to enhance efficiency and identify potential synergy
Seeks first to understand by actively listening and withholding judgment to encourage open dialogue
Seeks clarification and correctly interprets messages
Demonstrates a strong work-ethic and eagerness to accept challenging project work that will stretch their abilities and enable growth
Displays a strong willingness for advanced learning and seeks out opportunities to expand current knowledge and skill base
Actively seeks feedback on project work and collaboration with project team to continue self-assessment and improve content work and leadership skills
