Help shape the next frontier of real estate intelligence.

Our client is an innovative PropTech company transforming the way Canadians explore real estate. Trusted by millions, their AI-powered platform delivers instant, accurate property valuations and insights that empower buyers, sellers, and investors to make smart, informed decisions. By combining real-time data with advanced machine learning, the platform simplifies home discovery and pricing with unmatched speed and transparency.

As they expand their platform capabilities, they're looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer who's passionate about applying machine learning to real-world problems at scale. This is an opportunity to make your mark in one of Canada's fastest-growing PropTech platforms, while working in a flexible, impact-first culture.

🔍 What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, brokerage, operations) to design machine learning solutions that tackle high-value business problems

  • Take ownership of projects across the ML lifecycle: from ideation and experimentation to development, evaluation, and deployment

  • Perform exploratory data analysis, identify actionable insights, and design experiments (A/B tests or offline validations)

  • Build intelligent systems for a variety of use cases, including:

    • Forecasting real estate outcomes (e.g., sale prices, taxes, property attributes)

    • User intent prediction (e.g., buying vs. selling behavior)

    • Smart agent matching and lead qualification

    • Personalized recommendations for listings and services

  • Communicate findings and solution logic clearly through data storytelling, dashboards, and stakeholder engagement

🎓 Education & Background
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related technical fields

  • Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in machine learning, computer science, statistics, or similar disciplines are a plus

🧠 Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or data science roles focused on ML

  • Proven hands-on experience with classification, regression, recommendation systems, or time-series forecasting

  • Solid understanding of statistical principles and model evaluation techniques

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using ML and data libraries such as scikit-learn , pandas , scipy , matplotlib , seaborn , and tree-based libraries ( XGBoost , LightGBM , etc.)

  • Familiarity with experiment design and A/B testing methodologies

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

🌟 Bonus Skills
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Google Data Studio or Google Analytics 4

  • Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) and Linux-based systems

  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus

💡 What You'll Gain
  • A remote-first culture that values impact over hours, giving you the autonomy to work your way

  • A chance to shape the future of real estate technology through applied AI

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, including extended health coverage and paid time off

  • Continuous opportunities for professional growth and learning

  • Work from anywhere in Canada — full-time, permanent, and 100% remote
