Job Details: The Strategy & Operations (SS&O) team acts as an essential strategic partner for our advertising sales leaders, driving initiatives in sales strategy, analytics, operations, processes, and tools. Our team members excel in business strategy and operations, leveraging advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills. We are on the lookout for an experienced Data Analyst to join our SS&O team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for streamlining and optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our data pipelines and dashboards. You will be tasked with daily monitoring to uphold service-level objectives (SLOs), ensuring data availability by 9 AM EST. Your expertise in Airflow, SparkSQL, Presto, and webhooks, along with a proven track record of automating data processes, will promote operational efficiencies and boost team productivity. Additionally, you will be responsible for refining and re-engineering data pipelines, resolving Tableau dashboard issues, and supporting transactional data tasks. Roles and Responsibilities:
Daily SLO Monitoring: Conduct proactive daily monitoring of service-level objectives (SLOs) for core dashboards and tables, ensuring data availability by 9 AM. Track and log refresh statuses, communicate any delays, and coordinate with the SS&O and upstream data engineering and BI teams via Slack for timely resolutions. Implement manual workarounds or refresh downstream jobs as needed to maintain effective communication.
Quality Assurance and Testing: Assist with quality assurance and testing for changes to our core infrastructure, leveraging established frameworks and your expertise to execute validation steps while minimizing the impact on broader team resources.
Data Mart Evolution: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Sales Ops data mart, adapting to evolving business needs and technologies.
Tableau Dashboard Management: Implement tactical data access changes across our Tableau dashboards, adjusting data sources to align with new sales data access controls (row level security). Coordinate the manual setup process for dashboard republishing to accommodate organizational changes.
Quarterly Rollovers: Support end-of-quarter archive and restatement activities, focusing on quality assurance and reconciliation work to ensure a smooth transition and accuracy in quarterly data reporting.
Table and Data Deprecation: Manage the data lineage tracing and oversee the deprecation of obsolete XFN team and predefined SalesOps tables. Work collaboratively with teams to ensure smooth deprecation processes by identifying and liaising with downstream users and facilitate communications to encourage cross-functional teams to seamlessly transition to new or alternative tables, minimizing disruptions.
Skills and Qualification Required:
Experience: 2-3 years in a similar analytical role, with a proven track record of managing and maintaining large datasets.
Technical Skills: Expertise in analytics technologies such as SQL, Python, and Tableau, along with experience in ETL tools and pipeline development.
Data Quality: Strong understanding of data quality management and continuous improvement processes.
Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous with a strong focus on achieving strategic outcomes.
