Job description

About the Role 

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Water Utility Account Manager. Reporting to the Head of Water, you’ll build and strengthen relationships with allocated water companies, operations teams, developer services, contractors, depots, and delivery partners—helping to keep everything connected and running efficiently.

This role is fully remote, giving you the flexibility to work from wherever suits you best while covering the Hampshire to Kent region. Companies to cover are Thames Water, South East Water, Affinity Water, Southern Water and Sutton and East Surrey Water.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Drive growth by communicating and collaborating on our products and services to maximise contract revenue and profit.

  • Ensure smooth operations by working with Customer Service to get the right products delivered on time to sites and depots.

  • Be the key connection between clients and internal teams, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless coordination.

  • Maintain contract compliance by overseeing material stocking and usage and closing project opportunities.

  • Manage and grow partnerships by maintaining accurate customer data in CRM, creating strategic alliances, and developing Account Plans to boost sales and business success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the utility sector, managing accounts and driving opportunities to hit sales targets.​

  • Strong market knowledge, staying ahead of competitors, products, and customer trends to support company goals.

  • Confident communicator, able to engage, influence, and build positive relationships at all levels.

  • Commercially and strategically savvy, identifying performance criteria and working with teams to boost efficiency and sales.

  • Tech-savvy and flexible, skilled in CRM systems, negotiating with utilities and contractors, and willing to travel as needed.
