The HR Benefits Consultant is a part-time, project-based position and can be fully remote within the Northeast region.
The HR Benefits Consultant will support our clients with advising on benefits administration, compliance, plan design and market competitiveness.
High proficiency with technology and Excel skills required along with extensive benefits experience. Employee Benefits certification (CEBS or CBP) preferred.
Responsibilities of the Benefits Consultant: Develop benefits strategies aligned with client goals and objectives. Assess, design, and develop client benefit programs and communication plans Assist with client open enrollment process Analyze industry benefit trends to advise clients in proactive plan changes Perform client audits to ensure benefit programs are administered in accordance with policy and legal compliance Participate in administration and survey preparation for client and KMA benefit surveys, communicate with survey participants, and analyze and compile survey data. Prepare PowerPoint presentations for benefits reports and presentations Qualifications for the Benefits Consultant: Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, organizational development or related field 5+ years of Benefits administration experience HRCI or SHRM certification desired but not required. Employee Benefits certification (CEBS or CBP) preferred Strong knowledge of health and welfare benefits plans including COBRA, ERISA, ACA and Labor Laws Excellent technology skills include using HRIS system(s), Microsoft Products and strong proficiency with Excel Strong analytical ability Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to changing needs and priorities Possess integrity and a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential issues Ability to work collaboratively and effectively on a team and independently Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong time and project management skills a must Must have integrity and a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential issuesAt KMA we recognize our employees have full lives, of which work is only one part.
