Position Title: Freelance Creative Director

We’re looking to build relationships with experienced freelance Creative Directors who can step in on a project basis to lead the development of high-impact public awareness campaigns. This role is ideal for creative leaders who thrive in fast-moving environments, can quickly orient themselves to new teams and challenges, and are passionate about work that serves the public good.What You'll Do:- Lead concept development for integrated campaigns focused on public education, behavior change, and mission-driven impact.
- Guide multidisciplinary creative teams—designers, writers, animators, and producers—from brief through execution.
- Translate strategy into compelling, audience-relevant creative across formats (video, digital, OOH, print, social).
- Provide clear creative direction, actionable feedback, and hands-on support when needed.
- Ensure final deliverables are on-brand, on-brief, and aligned with client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with strategists, account leads, and production partners to deliver on tight timelines.
What We're Looking For:- 10+ years in creative roles, with experience leading integrated campaigns.
- A strong portfolio that includes public service, nonprofit, government, or cause-based work.
- Proven ability to develop breakthrough creative under constraints—limited budgets, layered approvals, or sensitive subject matter.
- Comfort jumping into projects midstream or building a vision from the ground up.
- Ability to both set direction and roll up your sleeves.
- Strong communication and remote collaboration skills.
Availability:- This is not a full-time or steady-hours role. We’ll reach out as projects arise that match your skills and availability.
- Typical engagements may range from a few hours of concepting to several weeks of leadership on a campaign sprint.
