Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Flexible within EST, CT, or MT Business Hours
Paid Working Hours per Week: 20 hours per week

Our client is seeking a remote, part-time Data Operations Specialist to support their team in preparing sustainability reporting calculations for our clients. This role involves pulling client data from our online platform, entering it into structured calculator templates, and ensuring accurate and complete data input.

You will receive clear instructions for each assignment, including which client and which data year to access. You’ll be responsible for ensuring data is copied over without errors and that templates are filled out completely, so the team can proceed with emissions reporting and analysis.

This is a fully remote, part-time role (20 hours per week) with flexible scheduling within ET, CT, or MT business hours. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently while collaborating with the team as needed.

This role does NOT require accounting knowledge or analysis of financial statements - it’s about accurate data extraction, input, and quality checks in predefined templates.

Responsibilities:
  • Log into the client data platform to pull specified data
  • Enter data accurately into provided calculator templates (Excel)
  • Follow detailed instructions and checklists for each assignment
  • Perform basic quality checks to ensure all required fields are completed
  • Flag missing data or inconsistencies to the team for follow-up
  • Meet assigned deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy

  • Able to follow instructions closely and ask clarifying questions as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
