This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 25 hours/week, Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Richmond, VA time

Job Description

As a Data Management Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in streamlining the flow of critical component data through our client’s innovative marketplace platform. You’ll work with sophisticated inventory data from industry-leading manufacturers, transforming and standardizing information that drives millions of dollars in technology transactions. This position offers unique exposure to the global electronics supply chain while providing opportunities for growth as the company rapidly expands its operations. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of the marketplace and contribute to the company’s ambitious scaling plans.

Responsibilities
  • Transform and standardize complex component data from various manufacturer formats into structured, actionable information
  • Process and validate detailed CSV/Excel files containing valuable inventory and component specifications
  • Ensure precise data entry and maintenance according to established quality control procedures
  • Support the sales pipeline by managing and organizing crucial product information
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain data accuracy and consistency across platforms
  • Assist in optimizing data management processes as the company scales
  • Contribute to the company’s auction platform and API data preparation
Requirements
  • Proven experience with Excel and CSV file manipulation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to various data formats and standardization requirements
  • Professional English communication skills
  • Capability to work US Eastern Time zone hours
  • Experience in data entry and information management
  • Understanding of data validation and quality control principles
  • Mandarin language skills a plus but not required
  • Comfortable working remotely with established processes
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple data sets
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive manufacturer data
