Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific (5 hours per day, 20 hours per week)

Job Description:
We’re seeking a results-driven Digital Content & SEO Specialist to lead our organic search strategy from end to end. This hybrid role blends technical SEO, content creation, and performance analysis using tools like Google Search Console. You will be responsible for boosting website traffic, improving search rankings, and creating engaging blog content that aligns with our brand and marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct keyword research to develop high-impact content strategies.
• Write, edit, and publish SEO-friendly blog articles and web content.
• Optimize on-page SEO elements including meta tags, headers, image alt text, and internal links.
• Monitor website performance through Google Search Console, identifying and resolving crawl issues, indexing problems, and usability errors.
• Collaborate with web developers and designers to ensure technical SEO best practices are in place.
• Analyze search data and KPIs (clicks, impressions, CTR, and ranking) to refine SEO tactics.
• Stay current on SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and content marketing best practices.
• Generate monthly reports on organic traffic, content performance, and actionable SEO insights.

Requirements
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in SEO and content writing (portfolio or case studies a plus).
• Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
• Strong understanding of HTML, on-page SEO, and WordPress or other CMS platforms.
• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to balance creative storytelling with data-driven optimization.

Bonus Points For:
• Familiarity with schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and technical audits.
• Experience with eCommerce or local SEO.
• Knowledge of content strategy or digital PR.
