Job description

Job Summary:
The Tax Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and taxation requirements and delivering associated quality, professional accounting outcomes.
  • Organize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposes.
  • Deliver operating efficiencies through, XERO, MYOB and other accounting & business software systems.
  • Responsible for tracking and following up mainly to do IAS & BAS, Bookkeeping, Corporate Tax Return with the ability for client-facing or email follow-ups when necessary.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare management accounts.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Australian tax compliance and Corporate Tax Return.
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Installment Activity Statements (IAS) & client payroll tax reports.
  • Ability to prepare Financial Statements and Tax Returns for companies, trusts, partnerships.
  • General accounting procedures and other ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations.
  • Ability to perform timely administration assistance when necessary.


Requirements
Requirements/Skills Needed:
  • At least 3+ years of experience as an Accountant or similar role in the Australian Tax accounting industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field. CA Preferred.
  • You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with other staff
  • members and clients.
  • You must be a fast learner
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills
  • Be hard working, passionate and dedicated
  • An ability to work independently and under pressure
  • An ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Have experience in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, fringe benefit returns, business
  • activity statements for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSF's.
  • Must have experience in Xero Practice Manager.

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 05:00 PM AEST (06:00 AM - 03:00 PM PH Time)
