Job Responsibilities 

  • Partnering with firm leadership to support international tax consulting and compliance quality control (QC) across a diverse client base

  • Engaging directly with clients to address a wide range of inbound and outbound international tax issues

  • Preparing written tax advice and technical memos tailored to client-specific international tax matters

  • Conducting in-depth international tax research and delivering strategic planning insights

  • Gaining hands-on experience across various international tax specialties, including:

    • U.S. tax planning for foreign businesses entering the U.S. market

    • International expansion strategies for U.S.-based businesses

    • Structuring for inbound real estate investments

    • Tax considerations for investment, hedge, and private equity funds

    • Foreign voluntary disclosure and amnesty programs

    • Intellectual property (IP) migration and planning strategies

    • Expatriate and inpatriate tax planning and compliance

    • International tax compliance review and advisory for multinational clients

    • Foreign tax credit analysis, documentation, and planning for FDII and GILTI

    • Value Added Tax (VAT) and other indirect tax planning

    • Tax planning and compliance related to crypto assets

  • Supporting business development efforts by identifying new service opportunities and assisting with proposals

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline

  • Qualified to practice before the IRS (i.e., JD, CPA, or EA)

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years focused on U.S. tax consulting and compliance with an emphasis on International Tax

  • Proficiency in International Tax compliance, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and 1118

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation

  • Experience in a client-facing managerial role leading teams on international tax matters
