Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Regulatory Compliance Analyst (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be virtual and can be performed anywhere in the continental United States.

Essential Functions: Develops, maintains, and establishes audit compliance of financial systems, considering allocations, costing techniques, and supports various DCAA audits. This position prepares incurred cost proposals, billing & quick closeout rate proposals, overhead allowability risk, prior period adjustments, CAS cost impact proposals, and self-governance audits. In addition, the position will provide responses to DCAA audited findings, support closure of open rate segments with DCMA, make recommendations to management, provide analysis on alternative cost structures, and monitor business compliance performance. The position requires excellent communication skills to resolve complex financial issues through coordination with multiple functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analysis of large volumes of data using worksheet and database skills to manipulate, summarize, and select into meaningful information for decision making
  • Detail analysis and reconciliations for prior period adjustments
  • Support financial and SOX audits by internal, external, and government auditors
  • Provide financial information required for quarterly reporting
  • Mentor and train employees on Northrop Grumman’s ERP Systems (SAP, OLAP Analysis, Analyzer, etc) Work with their team to ensure strong processes and controls are in place and will provide value added services to our partner departments
  • Partner across the Controller organization and Sector to ensure success of business priorities and outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or other related field, and 8 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree in accounting, finance, business or other related field of study with 6 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent computer skills, experience in accounting software, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excel power user (pivot tables, vlookups, macros, advanced formula writing)
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and process improvement skills
  • Accounting experience in government contracting
  • GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) knowledge
  • Experience with SAP Accounting System (PS/FI/CO modules) and Business Warehouse OLAP
  • Knowledge of overhead calculations, bases, allocations, costing sheets, Overhead keys and Interdivisional Work Orders
  • Resourceful with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to interface with multiple disciplines and varying levels of management
  • Knowledge of and experience with federal government financial standards and project costing systems
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • CPA certification

Salary Range: $103,200.00 - $154,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
