We are looking for a Python Test Automation QA Lead who has min. 5 years hands on experience by taking the ownership and proactively drives all aspects of leading the team and automating test scenarios that check the functionality of the related product.

 

Required skills:

  • Spoken English is must for daily scrum meetings with foreign team members and customers.
  • Strong knowledge in test automation with Python.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading and developing test automation frameworks, QA engineering, software testing processes and methods.
  • Recent hands-on experience in writing test cases with Zephyr tool.
  • Recent hands-on experience in Golang programming and networking knowledge are desired.
  • Experience in code debugging. What is a breakpoint, how to debug.
  • Experience in REST API testing, creating API and integration tests.
  • Ability to work through the UI or through the console with the simplest commands in Git: amend, git fetch, pull, checkout.
  • Experience in IDE (WebStorm/IntellijIDEA/Eclipse).
  • Excellent understanding of testing methodologies, quality assurance strategies, test planning, test case preparation, defect management, system dependencies and product integration phases.
  • Good understanding of testing concepts, STLC and the role of QA in the software development lifecycle.
  • Good communication skills, willingness/ability to work in a team.
  • Experienced with CI/CD pipelines like Azure Devops and GitLab.
  • Good understanding of Agile Methodology.

 

 

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be able to advise and provide leadership to QA team and clients on approaches to test automation framework as a trusted leader.
  • Leading QA team by taking responsibilities of test automation structure.
  • Building and maintaining the test automation pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Designing, developing and maintaining test automation scenarios.
  • Executing automated test scenarios for functionality, regression, integration, etc.
  • Creating test plans which include change request details. Testing Schedule, Testing Resources, Testing Strategy, Required Tools and Risks.
  • Gathering test requirements and producing test specifications.
  • Analyzing and reporting the test results and logging test outcomes.
  • Working within an agile team.
  • Contributing to Test Automation Chapters actively by defining standards, sharing issues and challenges.

 

Will be a plus:

  • Understanding how to run a Jenkins job, what a job is, what parameters a job can take, how to set build parameters, what a build is, how to read build logs.
  • Knowledge of Linux and command line shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, strong SQL skills.
