A Day in the Life

We are currently looking for a Product Engineer II to join our Aible Clinic Team within Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST). Within the CST Operating Unit, together with our customers, we are moving spine and cranial surgery from an art to a science. By integrating advanced technologies and a patient-centric approach, we can drive improvements in outcomes, efficiency, and overall well-being for millions of people around the world. As an Aible Clinic Engineer II, you will provide clinical, technical, and sales support to surgeons, hospital staff, and sales representatives to design patient specific implants and drive post-op data analytics. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a technical resource between Medtronic and the medical community. You will be a key partner and will be exposed to sensitive information requiring considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Utilize proprietary software to provide clinical x-ray measurements, stimulate surgical corrections based on the surgeon’s case plan and personal preferences, design a patient-specific implant based on the planned correction, provide a real-time measurement and planning service for high-volume sites, collect post-operative data and prepare a detailed analysis of the results obtained
  • Discuss surgical plans with surgeons and their staff
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and sales representatives to manage cases
  • Act as technical support in the operating room as needed
  • Provide training support to regional managers
  • Present postoperative analyses to surgeons
  • Lead internally driven projects to increase lab efficiencies

    Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$80,000.00 - $120,000.00

    This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

    The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

    The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
