Bixal is seeking a Spanish Translator to support one of our clients in the delivery of curated, consumer-focused health information. The ideal candidate has native fluency in Spanish and has strong knowledge of medical and public health terminology.
This position is part time and averages 20 hours per week. Candidate must have availability during business hours and must be located within the continental US. This is a short term contract opportunity with work guaranteed through July 3 with the possibility of an extension. Candidates must be available to travel to Bethesda, MD or Durham, NC for fingerprinting.
Requirements
Fluent ability to read, write, and speak both Spanish and English in a business/professional setting and at the consumer level.
Professional experience in a bilingual setting is required.
Experience with consumer-level health information in English and Spanish.
Awareness of culturally-appropriate Spanish for the U.S. Hispanic and Latino community.
At least one year of experience with evaluating or working with health information.
Ability to work in a database or content management system. Training in the system will be provided, but the individual must have a high comfort level with learning systems, inputting data, and searching or using other available tools from the system.
