Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or Information Systems or equivalent working experience in the field

Experience / Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years demonstrated experience working in a security-oriented role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of core cyber security concepts and CIA Triad
  • Critical thinking in cyber security risk analysis or similar relevant area of focus
  • Cyber security incident response and investigation experience
  • Forensic analysis experience either at the host, network, or both
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • CISSP, CEH, CHFI, SANS GIAC certifications or Security+ is a plus
  • Experience with PowerShell and Python is a plus

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director Cyber Security, the Cyber Threat Analyst will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of JMC information and data assets.

  • Responsibilites will include researching, identifying and resolving cyber security issues by using appropriate tools to ensure security incidents are resolved effectively.
  • Actively participate in the implementation and maintaining of security procedures and processes to ensure adequate protection of information and data assets.
  • Will work to proactively research new threats and establish trends and patterns among existing attacks to help predict future risks.
  • Occasional need to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays in support of incidents or other security events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
