Job description

Are you a Res 3 or higher, currently competent Building Inspector / Surveyor or a 

Project Manager, Experienced Builder with 5 years of NZ Residential construction experience?

PBC is a privately owned IANZ Accredited Organisation with a team of 40+ employees.

We continue to be very busy and see this only increasing in 2025/26 so we are looking for experienced Building Inspectors/Surveyors for the Auckland area.

We are looking for experienced inspectors who are currently competent in the role, you will preferably be Res 3 or higher. 

 

We are also looking for qualified ex builders and project managers with 5+ years of experience building in the NZ residential sector. The role requires you to have specific tertiary qualifications, so If you have the experience but don't have the qualifications, we will support you through obtaining a relevant qualification.


You will need the following attributes:


  • The ability to communicate with our customers in clear spoken and written English
  • A proven track record of going the extra mile for customers
  • Advanced current working knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and Building Act
  • NZ tertiary qualification in construction-related fields (Reg 18 compliant qualification)
  • Current experience supervising residential/commercial building projects for compliance with relevant building code requirements in New Zealand
  • Good computer knowledge is required as we have a tablet-based inspection system

Compensation$95,000 - $105,000
