Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive Financial Controller with deep expertise in Odoo ERP software to lead the migration of our accounting system from Xero to Odoo, manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting, and resolve accounting discrepancies. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the company’s financial numbers, confidently answer questions about them, and communicate effectively with team members and executives in excellent English.

Responsibilities

Accounting System Migration: Lead the migration of accounting processes and data from Xero to Odoo ERP, ensuring accuracy and seamless transition.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports (e.g., profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow) for executives, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Ownership of Numbers: Take full responsibility for the company’s financial data, providing detailed explanations and answering questions from stakeholders with confidence.
Discrepancy Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies to maintain accurate and compliant financial records.
Odoo ERP Management: Leverage advanced Odoo ERP knowledge to configure accounting modules, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot system issues.
Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close processes to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members across departments in excellent English, fostering collaboration and providing financial guidance.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role.
Expertise in Odoo ERP (accounting module configuration, management, and optimization).
Experience migrating from Xero or similar platforms to Odoo.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
