Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the edge in the field of data analytics? Do you have experience applying geospatial methodology to the development of dashboards to solve big data problems? Imagine yourself working on top-level, critical mission sets alongside other seasoned professionals. Parsons is now hiring a remote, part-time Geospatial Software Engineer with a passion for innovating and solving novel challenges to support our Indo-Pacific customer.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and meet objectives; interact with data vendors, operational users, and technical developers to build and manage a low code/no code data visualization dashboard (Common Operating Picture, COP)
  • Work alongside a multi-faceted cross-functional team; aid development of robust Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines and automated data workflows to support ingest, transformation, and delivery of geospatial data
  • Basic understanding of AWS and ESRI software
  • Maintain and improve codebases supporting data ingestion, validation, search indexing, and metadata association; design and implement geospatial data acquisition, cleaning, preparation, and conversion procedures
  • Perform using Python, HTML, Arcade, and JavaScript (with knowledge of React framework) to update existing ArcGIS applications
  • Create documentation (user manuals, technical updates, etc.)
  • Educate and mentor on how to effectively use and interpret data, ensuring users can independently derive insights and make informed decisions
  • Capable of intuitively solving complex problems, working independently, with minimal guidance; have excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills for tracking requests and project fulfillment.
  • Able to work PST/PDT hours
  • Active DoD Secret-level security clearance

Required Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on data automation
  • Well-versed in data visualization tools, such as ArcGIS

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience supporting an INDOPACOM or US Army customer
  • Prior experience supporting INDOPACOM intelligence and/or operations
  • Familiar with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cloud architecture
  • Familiar with data analytic, science, and engineering concepts
  • Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
