Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for supporting the Revenue Management Team to identify and decrease risk, support non-standard setup, TPA or broker structure, and processes enhancements while managing all billing aspects for a hybrid book of business with medical products on the Facets platform and dental products on the Non-Facets platform. The role is accountable to collect all premium/fees and claims/claims funding billed on an invoice, resolve all billing inquires, and partner with internal and external partners to create a positive client experience. Key responsibilities of this role include: Owning the end-to-end billing relationship for the client, identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance client satisfaction, reduce financial risk, and support the successful implementation of new and renewing clients from a financial perspective. In addition to the primary responsibilities, this role requires a strong ability to embrace change while offering significant flexibility that may result in a shift in responsibilities based on business need.

Primary Functions

  • Make independent decisions regarding credits and debits, notifications and communication on client receivables.
  • Provide support for external and internal customers regarding all items related to the billing for premium and claims/claims funding
  • Analyze daily Automated Clearing House (ACH) tap files prior to sending to Treasury and the bank.
  • Conduct audits to ensure financial controls are maintained, when necessary.
  • Design, enhance, and maintain system applications for processing and reporting financial information as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate billing items to clients, TPA’s, brokers, and internal partners
  • Utilize problem solving skills and financial knowledge to identify root cause of client issues (related to incorrect rates, eligibility errors, commission’s errors, etc.)
  • Meeting all required deliverables with accurate and up-to-date information
  • Partner with Global Service Partner to reduce financial risk
  • Produce and maintain custom reporting for clients per PBAB approval
  • Organizational skills and prioritization skills  
  • Compile and distribute risk analysis reviews
  • Create reporting to capture trends and barriers that are driving or have potential to drive increased financial risk
  • Research and Review non-standard practices to determine appropriate steps are being taken
  • Work to remove processes that are not systemically processed
  • Outreach to various matrix partners such as underwriting to drive financial results
  • Partner with supervisors to understand account or process risk; execute on a plan to achieve those goals
  • Partnering with Reporting, Inventory, and Project
  • Represent client functions on conference calls to speak to potential risk or barriers due to account management or client structure
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with peers, supervisors, and matrix partners to execute on these opportunities
  • Ability to work independently on tasks with little to no direction from management
  • Possessing the capability to excel in tasks that involve undertaking responsibilities, even in areas where both the individual and their team may lack prior familiarity or expertise

Key Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years relevant experience as a Revenue Account Specialist or Financial Analyst with proven successful results
  • Strong business acumen, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Dual Platform process experience is not required but encouraged
  • Strong Technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to establish strong matrix partner relationships and follow through on expectations
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas, or suggestions - strong team player
  • Strong influential skills; including the ability to provide direction to analysts while identifying barriers and routing trends/issues
  • Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions within the organization
  • Self-motivator, detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to positively embrace and adapt to change and shift gears on the fly
  • Ability to adapt to change in responsibilities based on business need
  • Strong computer skills required, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office - advanced Excel knowledge preferred; Access knowledge a plus
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve issues to resolution
  • Strong customer-centric focus and ability to work directly with point of contact in a client-facing role

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 62,300 - 103,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
