Job description

PolyTALENT GmbH, your external recruiting department for the industrial sector, is currently seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager (m/f/d) for the Spain & Portugal region on behalf of an internationally operating manufacturer of high-quality technical plastic components.
Our client is a trusted supplier to various industries such as automotive, hydraulics, and industrial manufacturing, known for reliable solutions and long-term partnerships. This direct permanent position offers the opportunity to work independently from your home office, with frequent travel in the region and regular visits to the company headquarters in San Marino, Italy for training and reporting purposes.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow customer relationships in Spain and Portugal

  • Identify and acquire new customers and business opportunities

  • Prepare and follow up on quotes and sample deliveries

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to improve sales strategies

  • Travel regularly throughout the region to meet clients and strengthen partnerships

  • Collaborate closely with the Inside Sales Team and the Regional Sales Manager EMEA South

  • Report activities and performance KPIs efficiently to the organization

Your Profile
  • Proven field sales experience, preferably in plastics, automotive, or industrial manufacturing

  • Technical understanding (e.g. reading technical drawings and specifications)

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field is beneficial but not mandatory

  • Fluent in Spanish and EnglishItalian is a strong plus due to frequent HQ interactions

  • Self-driven and highly communicative personality with a hands-on mindset

  • Confident in using CRM tools such as Dynamics 365, SAP, Zucchetti ERP, or similar
