Position Overview
ISG’s Cloud Strategy & Solutions Team supports the transformation of large and medium size enterprises’ business and IT environments by leveraging robust cloud enabled capabilities.
The Cloud Principal Consultant position is viewed as a key resource to deliver these cloud solutions. The principal consultant is expected to independently manage medium-sized project teams and be fully proficient in delivery of cloud strategy and transformation consulting service offerings including:
Cloud Adoption Strategy and Transformation
Cloud Operating Models
Cloud Services Sourcing
Enterprise Applications
Responsibilities
Our consultants utilize their experience in the above-mentioned capabilities along with ISG design methodologies to enable a client to transform their technological environment into a flexible yet cost-effective and agile enterprise.Typical engagements the Cloud Principal Consultant will lead, or support are:
Digital transformation
Cloud transformation through various cloud enabled delivery and deployment models
Technology architecture implications of cloud migration and adoption
Cloud sourcing / provider ecosystems
Market trends and developments surrounding emerging technologies
Assessment of cloud operating model, security, and FinOps
Strong understanding of end-to-end Observability technologies
Cloud Governance and Center of Excellence design & implementation
Supports sales cycle for new opportunities, including developing proposals and presenting them to prospective clients
Leads engagement delivery through both workshops and presentations to all organizational levels, including VP-level and C-suite
Develops and sustains client relationships, identifying opportunities and representing ISG capabilities across all practices
Supports the internal ISG practice team in development of skills, continuous improvement of delivery methods and sales collateral, and development of market and social artifacts to promote the practice and improve revenue generation
Required Skillsets
This is a remote role based in the US with 30%-60% travel required
5+ years of Cloud based delivery
Strong Consulting experience required
Sales and sales support preferred
Competency in the following key disciplines is desirable:
Cloud or Applications Operating Model Design, Development, and Implementation
Application Development Lifecycle Management techniques (SDLCs such as Kanban, SCRUM, SAFe, etc.)
DevOps practices and CI/CD automation and continuous delivery disciplines
Cloud computing and cloud-native applications development and management
Cloud Security
Modern architectures (microservices, APIs, integration layers, etc.) at a high level
Experience in working with third party service providers
Demonstrates expert knowledge with MS-Office suite of software applications and tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and MS Outlook
Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of client leadership including C-Suite
Industry Experience: Experience working across multiple industries
Education
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in a technical, scientific field or business with relevant work experience
MBA/MS or other advanced degree(s) desirable
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or other relevant certifications desirable
