Cloud Network Engineer

Our client is a German product company striving to be a dependable technology partner to the retail businesses it empowers. They provide a wide range of expertise in all areas of IT – from classic software development and IT consulting to AI applications and IT security. Now, their business cloud services team is looking for a new member to help design and develop cloud software products.

What you'll do:

• You will support the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on OpenStack, with a focus on networking (e.g., Neutron, OVS/OVN, Arista, Calico).
• Take responsibility for the surrounding system landscape (e.g., Kubernetes, Nginx, BGP).
• You will conduct detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify sustainable solutions.
• You will ensure efficient automation and continuous optimization of technical process workflows.

What you bring to the table:

• You have hands-on experience with Software Defined Networking technologies such as OVS/OVN and Calico.
• You have solid experience with Linux and Kubernetes.
• You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• You have experience in programming and scripting in C/C++, Python or Bash.
• You have worked with virtualization and containerization environments.
