With an overall focus to accelerate India’s economic growth and holistic development, the foundation works on areas such as education, women’s economic empowerment and innovation.
Reports To: IFSI Executive Director and Director of Global Partnerships
Role Summary: The Prospect Research Manager for IFSI will generate funding and partnership leads for the team. The primary responsibility of this role is to leverage data-driven insights to identify and generate leads from ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), Foundations, and Institutional donors. This involves researching the giving capacity of UHNWIs analyzing changes in their businesses, wealth creation, and other relevant financial metrics and, for Foundations, CSR entities, Bilateral and Multilateral organizations, assessing funding priorities, grant-making patterns, sectoral focus areas, and partnership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation and Prospect Research:
Design and execute strategies to identify prospects among UHNWIs, Foundations, CSRs, and Bilateral/Multilateral organizations.
Conduct in-depth research on UHNWIs (wealth creation, businesses, philanthropy, giving capacity) and Institutional donors (funding priorities, grant patterns, sector focus, and partnership history).
Leverage multiple data sources to analyze UHNWIs (net worth, liquidity, business outlook, networks) and Institutional donors (grant sizes, sectoral/geographic focus, strategic funding trends).
2. Data Analysis and Business Intelligence:
Analyze UHNI wealth trends to predict liquidity events and philanthropic behavior; monitor funding shifts, new programs, and strategic announcements from Institutional donors.
Build predictive models and scoring systems to prioritize leads by giving potential and strategic fit.
Design and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and track KPIs across UHNI and Institutional donor pipelines.
3. Collaboration, Management and Communication:
Leads on pipeline development & works with managers to maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and donor records
Prepare reports that monitor and track progress across the pipeline, assessing current status and highlighting issues, opportunities and challenges as appropriate
Work closely with the fundraising team to align lead generation with fundraising goals and campaign strategies.
Share research findings and actionable insights with senior leadership and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
4. Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy tailored to UHNW and Institutional donor engagement.
Stay informed about industry trends, giving behaviors, and best practices in business intelligence and fundraising.
Continuously evaluate and improve BI processes, methodologies, and tools to drive more effective lead generation and prospect conversion.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields, with consulting firms, financial institutions etc.
Proven track record of successfully leading BI initiatives.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization
Experience with CRM systems and fundraising databases (e.g., Salesforce).
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across international time zones (US - ET, PST, UK).
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
