Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of effective school procedures aligned with our mission and goals.
Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
Manage the budget with a focus on staffing and instructional needs.
Inspire and mentor staff to achieve excellence, serving as a role model in professionalism and dedication to education.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment that prioritizes student, employee, and visitor welfare.
Collaborate with staff, students, families, and other educational leaders to ensure the success of our programs.
Champion Individualized Education Plan (IEP) processes, promoting a student-centric approach.
Represent the school at local and state events and professional meetings, showcasing our commitment to excellence.
Requirements
A graduate degree from an accredited institution, preferably in educational leadership.
Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL) certification preferred
Three to five (5) years of proven leadership experience in education.
At least three (3) years of experience in a school/clinic setting with special education students.
In-depth knowledge of best practices in special education.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness and ability to assist in physical restraint if necessary.
