Position Overview:
We are seeking a Facility Assessment Specialist - Subject Matter Expert (SME) with advanced technical expertise to lead our comprehensive facility assessment program. This key position will drive excellence in facility management through data-driven analysis, strategic planning and expert technical guidance across multiple facilities.
About the Role:
As a Facility Assessment Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME), you'll leverage various assessment platforms and technologies to evaluate facility conditions, develop maintenance strategies, and optimize infrastructure investments. You'll work directly with Facility Managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection, maintain quality standards, and implement effective facility management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical oversight of facility condition assessments and data collection processes
Develop and implement best practices and technical procedures
Provide expert troubleshooting and problem-solving support
Mentor and train facility assessors and technical teams
Coordinate on-site activities and cross-site operations
Conduct stakeholder briefings and facility manager reviews
Create technical documentation and reports
Drive innovation and process improvement through data analytics

Required Skills And Competencies
Advanced technical proficiency in facility condition assessments, relevant platform, and ESMS data collection
Proficiency in relevant tools, software, and equipment specific to facility assessments
Skilled in leveraging data analytics to enhance decision-making
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and mentorship
Ability to conduct briefings and training sessions with clarity and professionalism
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to evolving technologies and operational requirements.
Education And Experience
Associate’s or higher Science degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered
Advanced certifications in facility management are desirable
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in facility condition assessments or a technical role with increasing responsibility
Demonstrated track record of leadership, innovation, and technical achievement
Proficiency in facility assessment platforms, data collection tools and other relevant software
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Extensive walking through facility while on-site
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
Must be able to work remotely and on-site as required by the position, client and/or contract requirements
May be required to travel up to 50%
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
May be required to climb, crawl and crouch to access equipment
