Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled remote bookkeeper to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records for this thriving artisanal food business. This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and structured financial management, utilizing Xero accounting software to ensure precise financial record-keeping. You’ll work independently while contributing to the success of a growing British brand, with the flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining professional standards.



Responsibilities
  • Process and categorize daily financial transactions in Xero with meticulous attention to detail
  • Input and manage supplier invoices and business expenses accurately
  • Apply appropriate tax codes and categories according to UK accounting standards
  • Maintain organized digital financial records for easy retrieval and audit purposes
  • Support internal teams with financial documentation and reporting needs
  • Ensure all transactions are properly categorized for VAT and year-end accounting purposes

Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience
  • Strong working knowledge of UK tax system and accounting principles
  • Proven expertise with Xero accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
  • Strong internet connection and dedicated quiet workspace
  • Must pass comprehensive background and security checks
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable with remote work environment and digital collaboration tools
  • Available to work 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to start immediately
