The IT Portfolio Management Principal collaborates with the business portfolio team to align the IT portfolio priorities and demands. The IT Portfolio Management Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s) on backlog of initiatives and helps prioritize based upon Humana's objectives. Define and activate IT initiative delivery strategy partnering with Transformation Office to drive towards operational efficiency, and focus on medical cost management, medical risk adjustment and stars. Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience, the IT Portfolio Management Principal organizes and prioritizes Major Initiatives/ programs based on IT Strategy, strategic roadmap spends, and available and prioritized budgets to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.  Transforms processes by implementing standard enterprise-wide tool to enable tracking of health of Major Initiatives from ideation to deployment. Delivers reports and metrics to monitor the overall delivery health of the IT initiatives.  Evolves Major Initiative governance process to integrate with existing IT process and tools. Deliver feedback, guidance and work direction through others in a matrixed way. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise. Build transparency and visibility with senior executives on the holistic IT portfolio focused on risks, blockers, spend and other deliver related risks.

Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience, the IT Portfolio Management Principal organizes and prioritizes Major Initiatives/ programs including AI based on IT Strategy, strategic roadmap, and available and prioritized budgets to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.  Focus on delivery excellence by transforming processes to implement standard enterprise-wide tools.  Enable tracking of health of major Initiatives from ideation to deployment. Evolves Major Initiative governance process to integrate with existing IT process and tools.  Deliver reports and metrics to monitor the overall delivery health of the IT portfolio.  Provide feedback, guidance, and work direction through others in a matrixed way. Required Qualifications

  • a Bachelor's degree, in some instances a Master's or Doctorate's degree
  • 10 or more years of technical experience
  • 2 - 5 years of project/people leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
  • Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or another Advanced Degree
  • Familiarity with Healthcare, Insurance industry practices
  • Certification in AI, ML or other related competencies
  • Familiarity with Data Science, Machine Learning, etc.
  • Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
  • Six Sigma certification
  • PMP certification
  • Demonstrated ability to run large scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams

Additional Information

Remote/WAH requirements:

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$142,300 - $195,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
