Job Summary

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for Solera’s products, including user manuals, API documentation, system architecture descriptions, and developer guides. This role requires strong technical and creative writing skills to produce high-quality content that clearly explains complex information.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain documentation for internal and external audiences, including APIs, SDKs, product manuals, onboarding guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Translate complex product and technical details into clear, accessible language for healthcare professionals and developers.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, clinicians, product managers, and support teams to gather information and ensure accuracy.
  • Develop content strategies to improve documentation structure, discoverability, and usability.
  • Own the documentation process for product releases, including release notes and changelogs.
  • Implement and maintain content standards and style guides.
  • Manage the documentation publishing process via developer platforms or CMS tools.

Expected Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience writing developer documentation (APIs, SDKs) and user-facing manuals.
  • Strong grasp of technology concepts, especially in cloud-based software and healthcare IT.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and version control.
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in health tech, SaaS, or enterprise software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for technical documentation.

Travel

  • This is a remote position and must be located within the United States.
  • The position may require occasional travel for team meetings.
