Our work depends on an DC Site Lead/Integration Liaison Officer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As an DC Site Lead/Integration Liaison Officer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the site-specific program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Will work closely with PEO IWS1SI and other ACS Stakeholders.
  • Bridge between program development locations that currently or will eventually affect the Aegis Combat Systems.
  • Understand the tech for use across the fleet, perhaps beyond the Navy.
  • Liaison remains organically integrated into that community full-time, provides info to Washington Navy Yard Stakeholders regarding technological advances.
  • Operates with relative independence & consults with and influences Washington Navy Yard Stakeholders
  • Assist the new construction lead/follow yard as well as planning yards for backfit/AMOD in implementing combat system requirements into the ship design drawings; monitor the design, construction and installation of the combat system and associated elements; and resolve emergent problems.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings
  • Plan and develop methods and procedures for implementing the sites program, directs and coordinates sites activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible
  • Confer with Contractor or Government staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of program.
  • Direct and coordinate personally, or through subordinate managerial personnel, activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of program.
  • Review reports and records of activities to ensure progress is accomplished toward specified program objective and modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives.
  • All other duties assigned
  • Travel as needed to Aegis related sites

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in the relevant field
  • 15+ years of related experience
  • A US DoD Secret security clearance is required
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector.
  • Understanding of Aegis Program stakeholders, their locations and concerns
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

The likely salary range for this position is $199,750 - $270,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
