The Senior Manager, Global Trade (GT) Technology Manager Lead, will support the Enterprise Operations organization, and the role will be categorized as remote within the United States. As part of the Enterprise Operations Global Trade team, this position will lead technology management GT program activities across Enterprise Operations Global Trade. These responsibilities include performing export and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification determinations under US and Non-US regulations, keeping up to date on changes to Trade Regulations that impact export and HTS classifications, communicating flow down information to Enterprise Operations Site Technology Management GT Specialists and GT classifiers. This position will also lead the monthly auditing/reporting for classification process review and validation. This is an individual contributor position expected to have strong technical background in this field with the ability to support the review and solutions related to classification complex scenarios in representation of our organization. This position will report directly to the Enterprise Operations Global Trade Classification Center Lead / Sr. Technology Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for global trade compliance of the Technology Management pillar for Enterprise Operations, serving as the main liaison on Central GT TM activities, including all TM-related GT Councils, projects, and system/process implementations.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert “SME” for Jurisdiction/Classification and Harmonized Tariff Classification across Enterprise Operations.
  • Responsible for all regulatory, policy, and/or procedure implementation across Enterprise Operations.
  • Develop strategy for effective management and sustainment of the EO GT JC and HS Classifier Focal Program Lead classification projects arising out of regulatory changes.
  • Report and analyze critical key metrics, proactively driving risk mitigation and process improvements. 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience determining classifications under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR - 22 CFR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR - 15 CFR)
  • Minimum of 2 years working with GT related import/HTS classification matters
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Able to work with minimum supervision due to remote status
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • BS/MS Engineering and/or strong technical background
  • Project Management experience
  • Aerospace (program/technical) technical background
  • Familiarization with non-US regulations classifications under the EU, IN (SCOMET) & ASEAN regimes.
  • Experience with Collins/RTX current trade compliance related process (classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, record keeping, etc.)
  • Proactive and self-driven with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to learn and utilize different application tools (SAP, SharePoint, Excel, Quantum, EASE, Access, Web based tools, etc.)
