About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will need 4+ years of Australian Tax experience in a Public Practice firm. You will be responsible for undertaking the production accounting activities, including the preparation of financial statements and taxation requirements, and delivering associated quality and professional accounting outcomes.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Companies, and Trusts.
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BASs) & Instalment Activity Statements (IASs)
  • General Bookkeeping duties, including the processing of clients' payroll.
  • Tax research, staying up to date on tax law changes and anticipation of new tax law changes.
  • Attend company training and taxation training sessions (when required).

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 4 years in Australian public practice accounting.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB & QuickBooks.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
