Job description

About the role

As a founding marketing hire, you will help build and execute our marketing strategy to drive demand. This role will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design to create and execute impactful marketing campaigns. You’ll bounce between content, field marketing, advertising, and other channels to design a winning go-to-market machine. You will work closely with engineers to scale your impact, making your work easier, more repeatable, and higher quality through tools, technology, and AI.

What you'll do
  • Work with our team to define and execute our marketing strategy to drive signups.

  • Leverage data to set goals, optimize campaigns, and accurately meet forecasts.

  • Collaborate with contractors, agencies, and subject matter experts to publish high-quality content across channels.

  • Consistently improve campaigns by measuring and reporting performance metrics.

  • Engage with our customers to better understand their needs and improve our product positioning and messaging.

  • Manage cross-functional projects such as product and fundraising announcements.

Typical week
  • Writing and managing content calendar.

  • Owning product release communication.

  • Crafting new marketing campaigns.

  • Planning and coordinating field events.

  • Coordinating conference and speaking engagements.

  • Partnership management.

Your background
  • 2-6 years of marketing experience.

  • Experience taking marketing campaigns from ideation to production.

  • Proven examples of using AI in an assistive nature.

  • Passion for working with engineering to scale marketing plays.

  • Skill in identifying and addressing marketing challenges creatively and effectively.

  • Experience managing > $1M in marketing budget.

  • The ability to take creative risks while still using data to measure.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and best practices.

  • Proficient with Assembly, ByWord, Sanity, Luma, Customer.io, Posthog, Zapier, etc.

  • Bonus: B2B marketing experience.

  • Bonus: Knowledge of CRMs, CDPs, CMS, and GTM tooling.

  • Bonus: Understanding marketing practices: SEO, SEM, paid advertising, etc.
