Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science to support an innovation-focused research grant centered around AI, data science, and large language models (LLMs). This is a remote, temporary position that will run from now through the first week of August 2025. The student will assist with model development, tool prototyping, documentation, and research coordination as part of a dynamic grant team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support AI and data science projects, including working with large language models (LLMs).
- Assist with literature reviews, tool development, and technical documentation.
- Help process, analyze, and visualize datasets relevant to the grant.
- Contribute to internal reporting and deliverables for the funded project.
- Participate in regular remote check-ins and collaborative team meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks or libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, HuggingFace, LangChain, PyTorch, etc.)
- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
- Self-starter who is reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large language models or NLP-related coursework/projects
- Familiarity with collaborative tools (e.g., GitHub, Notion, Google Docs)
