Job Description

THE POSITION:  

The Senior Vice President, Custom Practice Leader, is a pivotal role within the Market Research & Insights Division, responsible for leading and expanding the custom research practice. This position involves developing tailored market evidence solutions for clients, driving business growth, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, actionable insights. The SVP will work closely with clients, internal teams, and executive leadership to align custom research initiatives with strategic objectives. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:  

  • Lead the custom research practice, developing and executing strategies to meet client needs and drive business growth. 
  • Develop and grow the custom business by $2M - $3M within the next two years. This role will be responsible for generating leads and moving new business through each step of the sales cycle
  • Oversee the design, execution, and delivery of custom market evidence projects. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analytics, product development, and marketing, to deliver comprehensive insights. 
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. 
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively. 
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of analysts and managers. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in research methodologies and technologies. 
  • Represent the division in executive meetings and industry conferences. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.   
  • All other duties as assigned. 

PEOPLE LEADER  

People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values.  In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities. 

  • Responsible for and overseeing their respective department. 
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures. 
  • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions. 

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB: 

  • Travel (25%) 
  • Hours (40 hours per week, 5 days per week) 

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.  

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field. 
  • Experience and/or Training: 
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in market research, data analytics, or a related field within the life sciences or healthcare industry. 
    • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing large teams and complex projects. 
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities. 
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships. 
  • Technology/Equipment: 
    • Proficiency in advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 
    • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R). 
    • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle). 
    • Familiarity with machine learning and AI technologies. 
    • Understanding of regulatory compliance software and standards. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Education: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field. 
  • Experience and/or Training: 
    • 10-15+ Years of experience in market research, data analytics, or a related field within the life sciences or healthcare industry.
    • Experience with advanced analytical techniques and emerging technologies. 
    • Strong network within the life sciences industry. 
    • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders. 
  • Licenses/Certificates: Certification in data analysis, project management, or related fields (e.g., PMP, Certified Analytics Professional). 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. 

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $212,000 to $249,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
