Job description

NN Group is embarking on an ambitious transformation programme, Ambition 2027 (AM27). The AM27 Programme aims to transform our organisation by breaking down silos and fostering collaboration across business units. Our goal is to acquire 1 million net customers by 2027. We plan to achieve this by speed-ing up implementation, simplifying our processes, introducing new systems, and standardizing operations, all while maintaining a strong focus on customer engagement.

To help manage this transformation, NN International is seeking a Programme Manager Ambition 27. NN International has established a Programme Office which consists of different disciplines (Value Office, Communications, Change management, etc.). The Programme Office is responsible for realizing the value case across the various workstreams and countries and NN Group, except the Dutch Business units.

This Programme Office will provide oversight, accelerate and deliver programme priorities, coordinate and align all program initiatives into an integrated roadmap, track overall progress, budgets and business cases.  Additionally, it will facilitate informed decision-making and escalation (where required) to the executive levels in International Insurance and NN Group. The Programme Manager will be part of and co-lead this Programme Office ensuring its effectiveness in achieving these goals.

Who you will work with

As Programme manager, you will directly report to the Programme Lead and collaborate with:

  • Senior NN International stakeholders, including C-level executives sponsoring their respective workstreams
  • Other transformation roles within the Programme Office, including Value Office , Finance manager, People & Sourcing manager, and Change & Communication managers
  • Central Business Owners and their teams across various workstreams
  • Key business units (countries) and functions across NN International involved in the change programme (also on NN Group)

What you are going to do

  • Co-lead the Programme Office to accelerate, optimize, and deliver programme priorities across the various workstreams and countries
  • Engage NN International management and other internal and external stakeholders in the transformation activities, building and leading a community.
  • Report to senior management (management board level) on Programme Office activities, value creation tracking and project portfolio management to facilitate decision-making (as part of dependency and resourcing management).
  • Support the Programme lead, Workstream’s Central Business Owners (CBOs) and sponsors in structuring scope & key, provide programme oversight and monitor progress, value creation and on-time delivery of strategic agenda.
  • Oversee programme finance in collaboration with Value Office Ambition 2027. This includes managing the investment budget within approved funding envelopes, and release  funds to workstreams and initiatives based on agreed milestones.
  • Pro-actively manage and resolve issues, impediments  and roadblocks, supporting Central Business Owners in overcoming challenges (steer where needed).
  • Act as an inspirational leader to the entire Leadership Team in International
  • Play key role in continuous alignment via intense stakeholder management
  • Lead with respect for cultural diversity and customs

As part of this role, you will have an employment contract under the local collective labour agreement (CLA) from one of the NN International countries.   • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience: a Programme Manager who has proven skills in building a network from executive leadership, CBO’s and teams across our NN countries,   who feels the necessity to be accurate, quick and decisive, always working towards the end result
  • Deep knowledge of Insurance business applications, architecture, Demonstrated ability in managing complex, large-scale programs across diverse business units
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven capability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive programme success
  • Experience in working within international and multicultural environments
  • A proven track record of outstanding execution, strong problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale initiatives and engage stakeholders
  • Preferably experience in Business unit environments surroundings (first line, P&L responsible)
