Job Description

About the Role:

The Coaching Facilitator role facilitates ICF-accredited level 1 coaching education to various audiences to promote and enhance professional development. As a member of the People Development team, this PCC-level coach contributes to masterfully facilitating learning content and group discussion, evaluating learning and performance improvement solutions to close coaching performance and skill gaps. The role is responsible for learners' success in achieving learning objectives and providing data-driven results to management. The Coaching Facilitator is a resource for development and an advocate for individual and programmatic success, enabling business results generated through learning and performance improvement solutions and tools.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitates effective, evidence-based curriculum and group discussions on ICF core competencies using Coach ICF level 1 accredited training materials.

  • Provides coaching mentor feedback in both group and 1:1 setting to assist in the growth and development of coaching participants in attaining their ICF ACC credential.

  • Collaborates effectively through diverse avenues with a variety of management, team members, quality assurance, and employees throughout the organization. Sometimes serving as the “go-to person” at the team, function, and organization level.

  • Consults with their leadership in determining appropriate actions for atypical situations or developments outside the scope of the originally assigned project.

  • Engages in creative problem-solving to drive continuous improvement.

  • Uses data and recognizes potential training solutions for customers.

  • Promotes and drives usage of People Development solutions.

  • Has an awareness of the fiscal impact of projects, resources, and materials used in training.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Exhibits capacity to masterfully deliver content and facilitate group discussion on the ICF core competencies as well as evidenced based practices and ideologies that support the coaching modality.

  • SME in one or more of the following areas: EI, growth mindset, soft skills, communication theory, adult learning theory, goal setting, leadership development.

  • Ability to present topics and information in a dynamic, engaging, and effective way.

  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills (both in-person and virtual). Tactfulness and discretion are required in communications as the subject matter often involves sensitive material.

  • Builds collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment, ensuring People Development offerings are aligned to achieve Key Results.

  • Expertise with virtual learning technology, systems, and instructional methods.

  • Ability to track tasks/deliverables and remain organized.

  • Ability to maintain a positive and influential attitude with all members of the university.

  • Ability to work without supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • A developed understanding of the people and operations, including an understanding and appreciation of the competency-based education model. For some customer-facing teams, this includes subject matter expertise relevant to projects and initiatives as required.

  • Ability and temperament to proactively consider the needs of others.

  • Creative mindset for recommending new initiatives.

  • Attention to detail in keeping development materials updated and effective in order, flow, and learning curve.

  • Advanced skills in planning, organizing, and self-management required with the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages.

  • Aids entry-level professionals on the training team and or support employees.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:          

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, human resources, other related fields

  • ICF Certification at PCC or MCC level.

Experience:

  • Experience facilitating ICF core competency based virtual group coaching training.

  • 5 or more years of virtual facilitation and training experience.

  • Proficient use of educational technology platforms and common software packages, such as an LMS System, MS Office, and SharePoint.

  • Experience with applying distance-learning and adult-learning principles.

Experience in lieu of education:

An equivalent combination of training, experience, credentials, or accomplishments demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of this job may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in higher education.

  • Experience facilitating ICF accredited group coaching training.

  • PCC Marker Training.

  • Experience with learning and course-authoring software.

  • Experience in course and curriculum development, learning effectiveness measurement, as well as a broad knowledge of project management.
