Collins Aerospace is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team and will be responsible for providing analytics support for the Interiors Operations and Supply Chain organization to drive continuous process improvement. Cross-functional collaboration will be key within the role to synchronize demand, supply and finance plans while balancing service level and inventory value. In addition, deep analytical skills will be pivotal to support SIOP demand planning, operational execution, and financial alignment. As opportunities and arise, this role will be pivotal to perform business intelligence analytics and create visualizations that will enable leadership to identify areas in need of business process improvement and support the organization in determining root cause and enable the simulation of option effectiveness for improvement initiatives and corrective actions. This position will work closely with key stakeholders from Operations; Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP); Supply Chain; Quality; Finance; and Environmental Health & Safety to support analytics and visualizations that drive efficiency improvements across the sites that support the Collins Interiors Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
What You Will Do:
- Analytics
- Aggregate, filter, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that are then delivered as visualizations for leadership to understand performance and draw conclusions on process improvement and compliance assurance opportunities.
- Provide day-to-day ad hoc analysis to address the immediate needs of the business.
- Ensure data integrity and quality by reviewing data, identifying unusual occurrences, seeking explanations and assisting in developing corrections to prevent reoccurrences.
- Facilitate deep analytics and obtain data alignment across sites and functions.
- Synthesize relevant information needed for high-level decision making and develop data-driven visualizations that succinctly articulate answers to business questions and improve business stability and health.
- Create scorecards, drill down dashboards, and detailed reports for executive leadership and the organization to run the business on.
- Build interactive, intuitive, engaging, and attractive visualizations.
- Maintain on-going dashboard ownership, user support, and accountability.
- Metrics
- Collaborate with the stakeholders and customers to standardize metrics definition and calculations across the SBU and increase awareness on standards.
- Manage and maintain the business metrics to ensure relevancy to drive performance to plan and business insight.
- Standards
- Design and develop standard methods, processes and tools to consolidate and analyze large, internal data sets from multiple sources.
- Adhere to and enhance standards and procedures to meet policy and compliance requirements.
- Own, align and streamline current processes within the organization, enabling consistency and driving standard work
- Apply best practices in data analysis, data visualization, and data science to deliver high-quality insights.
- Provide leadership and guidance on best practices in data management, analytics, and architecture to technical and non-technical teams.
- Agile Methodologies
- Collaborate with the Operations Intelligence team in conducting agile ceremonies that include regular stand-ups, story creation and definition, backlog grooming and prioritization, sprint and capacity planning, and sprint retrospectives.
- Coach team members on agile principles and best practices.
- Support broader organization understanding and adoption of agile methodologies.
- Collaboration
- Collaborate across partner organizations (e.g. Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Environmental Health & Safety, etc.) to transform data into actionable information in support of manufacturing customers.
- Develop relationships with and influence stakeholders to gain consensus for product strategy and milestones, building minimal viable products and other artifacts to assist in decision making.
- Motivate a cross-functional team towards a shared vision and be an influential change agent who leads continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Crosstrain and mentor team members to develop team resilience and bench depth.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and assist with data-related technical issues.
- Provide training and coaching on the tools and dashboards in our toolbox to targeted stakeholders to maintain and/or improve the user engagement.
- Be a key member of the Operations Intelligence team.
- Travel: 15% international & domestic to support site needs
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience in operations, supply chain, digital technology, analytics and/or similar role.
- Experience with agile principles and scrum practices (e.g., Scrum Alliance, SAFe).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Ignition).
- Experience in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience in a technical or software development environment.
- Experience using or accessing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) (e.g., Solumina, SAP MES).
- Experience with driving process improvements (e.g., CORE, 6Sigma, etc.).
- Experience with supply chain management solutions (e.g., Kinaxis).
- Experience using or accessing data from Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, JDE).

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
