With over 50% of our team living with or caring for someone with a rare condition, we deeply understand the unique challenges and needs of these communities. ABOUT THE ROLE
Bionews is looking for a full-time science editor to join our growing Science team!
We are seeking individuals with a PhD in life sciences to assign and edit accurate and detailed news articles and informational pages about new research, drug development, and other topics related to chronic and rare diseases. The ideal candidate has experience in a professional capacity (preferably in digital media) editing health and medical content for a lay audience.
If you are interested in making a difference, consider joining our Science team, where our mission is to provide reliable and highly accurate content to chronic and rare disease communities who are typically underserved in terms of being able to access credible information that is relevant and easy for them to understand.
As a science editor for Bionews, you will be involved in reporting on anything from preclinical research to FDA approvals, explaining studies, research, and clinical trial results clearly, accurately, and thoroughly in terms that non-scientists can understand. You will work closely with our team of writers and fellow editors to ensure drafts are accurate, thorough, and well explained before publishing.
This is a full-time remote position. U.S. candidates are preferred, but highly qualified international applicants may be considered.
