Job Summary:
The Manager Management and Productivity Reporting will lead and coordinate departmental and institute financial and metric reporting, system labor benchmarking, and productivity reporting. This role will inform decision making and ensure goal achievement by managing and facilitating the reporting processes and analytics that measure progress to targets and benchmarks. Additionally, this role will assist Finance Partners teams to educate operations managers and administrators.
Job Duties:
- Identifies opportunities for performance improvement.
- Serves as the expert resource for the enterprise physician and non-physician productivity benchmarking tools.
- Develops metric and benchmark scorecards, trend and variance reports, and dashboards that meet Finance Partner and Operations Administrator needs.
- Defines and organizes physician RVU and hospital data against established benchmarks and targets and recommends changes to designated system leaders as appropriate.
- Implements, develops, and maintains use of enterprise management and productivity reporting software, templates and tools.
- Prepares quarterly reports, submission, and distribution to system leaders.
- Provides expertise to multidisciplinary teams for interpreting results to achieve performance improvement and high reliability outcomes.
- Collaborates with Finance Partners to educate operations management on financial and productivity metrics and benchmarks.
- Conducts statistical measurement studies to monitor and improve business processes through data collection or observations.
- Collaborates with Physician Compensation for physician benchmarking changes and updates as needed.
- Collaborates with Decision Support team to develop cost accounting methodologies and definitions that support profitability reporting by institute, service line, payor, platform, or physician.
- Collaborates with Financial Planning team to ensure that benchmark and metric target goals are incorporated into forecasting processes.
- Participates in special projects, committees, and initiatives as assigned to support finance and/or operational initiatives.
- Assists with prioritizing and delegating workload, providing performance reviews and goal setting for direct reports. Promotes training, and development of team and colleagues.
- Develops and maintains strong business partner relationships across the Geisinger enterprise.
- Supports colleagues throughout finance assuming positive intent and acts as an ambassador for all areas of finance when working with key stakeholders.
