Northrop Grumman Corporation Chief Information and Digital Office is looking for a Program Management & Customer Engagement Program Manager who will own the responsibility to identify and develop PM and customer engineering standards that will meet program contractual requirements and deliverables. This role has the authority to make engineering project management decisions and recommendations that have an impact on new business, program performance, design, development, and mission operations.

This position will consider a virtual telecommuter/remote employee.

Responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain on-going relationships with all stakeholders, functional organizations and customers that provide input to engineering requirements applicable to program execution.  These relationships may be cross-organization (Value Streams, Sector CIDOs, capture teams, program teams, and functional orgs) and customers.

  • Advise Value Streams and functionals to enhance product value through digital transformation engineering

  • Optimize programmatic and engineering rigor to align with contractual requirements and deliverables driving standardization across the CIDO organization and NG Digital Enterprise

  • Comprehensive knowledge of US government processes, program management standards, policies, and guidelines

  • Understanding of requirements verification and validation

  • Ensure technical quality, performance, cost, schedule, and risk and opportunity management across all engineering on programs, in alignment with processes, program policies, and industry best standards

  • Inject thought leadership, CI/CD implementation and digital transformation/modernization into organization and products through establishing processes and accountability

  • Development and delivery of presentations to Customers (internal/external), leadership, and program stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in engineering, program management, or related field involving government programs, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in engineering, program management, or related field involving government programs.

  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that has been granted or renewed within the last 6 years or is enrolled in continuous evaluation

  • Demonstrated experience working with internal and external customers to ensure project success.

  • Strong formal and informal communication skills with all levels of internal and external management.

  • Ability to operate and lead in team environment and teach and mentor others to lead in same way – a strong willingness to learn, take initiative and resolve issues.

  • Defense Industry and DoD contract experience strongly desired.

  • Ability to manage risk to reduce likelihood and severity of program impacts.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to create trusted customer relationships

  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager

  • Proven ability to effectively work across multiple organizations to form teams, gain internal support, act with speed, and make tough decisions

  • Open to direction and collaborative work style; commitment to get the job completed

  • Experience with MBSE and Agile methodology, preferably in a lead role

  • Strong understanding of technical, cost, and schedule impacts on a program

  • Experience employing modern AI technologies to enhance quality and productivity

  • Experience developing executable strategies aligned to organization vision and goals

Salary Range: $154,600.00 - $231,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
