Job Summary
GKN Aerospace is at the forefront of advanced air mobility, establishing itself as the industry-leading Tier 1 partner for airframe design and build, with strong partnerships across all major global eVTOL OEMs.
As Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our continued growth in this exciting sector. You will lead high-profile development programmes from concept through to certification and into serial production. This role brings the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable aviation while working at the cutting edge of aerospace innovation.
You will lead a high-performing, cross-functional team comprising some of the most skilled experts from across GKN Aerospace’s global network, all dedicated to delivering world-class airframe solutions.
Location: Remote
Travel: Up to 50%, including frequent trips to the USA, therefore, the ability to gain access to the United States is essential
How You'll Contribute
- Own and manage the programme's Non-Recurring and Capital budgets, ensuring financial accountability and delivery to expectations.
- Lead the successful delivery of projects, meeting key customer milestones and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Plan, execute, and monitor new programme introductions through to site handover at LCG7.
- Lead cross-functional teams across all programme phases to ensure effective and coordinated project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and quality requirements, including timely closure of APQP and key stage activities.
- Drive robust change management processes to control scope and budget.
- Manage the customer relationship in collaboration with the commercial team, mitigating risk and maximising opportunities.
- Foster collaboration and clear communication among internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate programme activities across multiple locations, ensuring process consistency and quality outcomes.
- Establish and maintain programme governance, tracking performance against cost, schedule, and quality targets.
- Prepare and lead Programme Management assessments and responses as required.
- Undertake any other activities necessary to ensure successful programme delivery.

Essential:
- Experience of new product introduction or significant work package transfer
- Experience in building strong relationships with direct customers
- Experience in building and delivering product plans
- Experience in commercial, engineering or operations within the Aerospace industry
- Experience in managing to a budget
Desirable:
- Either completed or registered for acknowledged Program Management Certification
- Experience within engineering
